ROEF Day Park 2023
On 10 September 2023, we organised ROEF Day Park: One day, one roof, one park.
Programme
At our Day Park, you’re welcome to come and chill on our beautiful grass all day long. But there is more. Want to reserve a spot for a workshop or performance or order one of those delicious picnic baskets? We are working with crowdfunding through Voordekunst this year, to pay for that beautiful grass mat you’ll be chilling on. Entrance to our Day Park is free, but for all the extras we ask for a contribution that directly contributes to the realisation of the Day Park. Win win!
Dao Yin / Tai Chi

Start your day off right with a Dao Yin / Tai Chi session! Suitable for participants of all levels. You can join from €12.
Picnic + basket

COLLECT PICNIC BASKET BEFORE 14:00
The Day Park naturally lends itself perfectly to a picnic. Don’t want to lug your snacks and drinks yourself? Order a picnic basket! All you have to do is pick it up before 2pm on 10 September.
Plant market

Plants that have been used for rentals, events and projects get a second life through ‘De Tuinen Van’. Will you adopt a plant? This way we make Amsterdam a little greener together.

Our own ‘Green Mayor’ Sanne Vogel talks to Philip van Traa (Leaf BV) about the best way to become more green yourself, while living in the city.
Free skating + workshop
15:00 – 18:00
Come skate at our Dagpark! You can borrow skates (from size 36), but of course you can also bring your own skates. The skating is organized by Skatedance. If there is enough interest, she will also organize a workshop, otherwise she will present a showcase. We will decide this on the day itself, so come along if you can use a lesson!
Workshop Cuttings

How to take cuttings from a plant? When to repot a plant? Which soil should I use? You will learn answers to these questions and much more in this active workshop.
Theatre performance Once Upon A Roof
19:30 – 20:30
Sophie Stravens plays theatre at great heights, using the roof as a stage and the outdoors of Amsterdam as a backdrop. In this solo performance, Sophie takes you through a theatrical experience of staying on a roof. How can the roof become her salvation?

Want to take your Day Park experience to an even higher level? For a select group it is possible to sleep over at our Day Park! We provide a delicious dinner, sleeping accommodation, breakfast and Tai Chi the next day. Book your place quickly!
MUSIC & POETRY
All day
Throughout the day there will be live music from Amsterdam Music Project: Shaggy Grays and Wynnm will perform in an intimate setting. Wordbites Silent Poetry Disco with headphones will also whisper poetry to you while walking through the park.
RAINBAR
All day
Pull a raincoat off the hanger, because Heavy Shower = Happy Hour! When it rains, you drink beer made from rainwater. This way you can experience and taste the value of rainwater. How can we use rainwater and make a city rainproof?
